Assistant Vice Provost of Global Health Sciences Hosts Visit from the Federal University of Ceará

On April 5, 2022 the University of Arizona's Carol Gregorio, PhD, Assistant Vice Provost of Global Health Sciences and Justin Dutram, Assistant Vice President, Mexico and Latin American Affairs hosted a visit from the Federal University of Ceará—a highly ranked federal, public university from the Brazilian State of Ceará—to discuss potential collaboration with the University of Arizona Health Sciences.
The meeting took place in the Health Sciences Innovation Building in Tucson, Arizona. Representatives from Federal University of Ceará included Dr. Augusto Albuquerque, Vice Provost for International Affairs; Dr. José Cândido Albuquerque, Rector; and Dr. Rodrigo Rego, Coordinator for International Agreements and Institutional Development.
"It was an honor to meet with representatives from the Federal University of Ceará," said Dr. Gregorio after the meeting. "I look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring opportunities for future collaboration."
The Federal University of Ceará's main campus is in Fortaleza, where the University of Arizona has a longstanding history of global partnerships.
